The Residential line of business is currently seeking an Assistant Development Manager (ADM) to join the team based in our St Kilda Rd Office. Reporting to the Development Director, the ADM will be responsible for assisting in the planning, implementation and administration of effective acquisition strategies to meet the business unit re-stock requirements.

As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include:

  • Identify, evaluate and assist in the negotiation for the acquisition of potential residential development sites that align with the approved acquisition strategy
  • Maintain and update the acquisition strategy as market demands change
  • Prepare risk analysis of contractual obligations under proposed contracts of sale
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with sales agents, authorities, consultants and joint Venture partners
  • Assist in the preparation of market analysis and proposed design briefs           
  • Establish an understanding of relevant planning framework
  • Prepare feasibility studies and subsequent financial/commercial analysis
  • Ensure all internal business processes are adhered to
  • Ongoing monitoring and reporting of new opportunities

As the ideal applicant you will possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a property related discipline  
  • Demonstrated experience in the acquisition of residential projects
  • Real-estate Agency/Valuation experience preferred
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly developed abilities in stakeholder/relationship management
  • Strong commercial acumen
