Our Development line of business are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join the team based in our St Kilda Road Office. Reporting to the Development Director, and collaborating closely with the acquisitions team, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for development, implementation and strategy to facilitate new project opportunities across Metro Melbourne

As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include:

  • Utilising your market insights and knowledge, advising the business on site sales, capital transactions and market trends across the region
  • Assisting the acquisitions team in development of site feasibilities and deal structuring
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to create opportunities for acquisitions and partnerships
  • Manage the development of acquisition or product briefs utilising internal and external resources
  • Management of acquisition forecasts and stock replacement / business growth targets
  • Identification of key development corridors including commercially sound market opportunities and specific sites to contribute to stock replacement and business growth
  • Management of Risk identification and analysis on opportunities
  • Alongside the acquisition team, facilitate site sourcing including research to inform on site status, opportunity and risk; in the field scouting, relationship management with agents and vendors and maintaining commercial awareness of competitor metrics within identified markets and corridors

As the ideal applicant you will possess:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification with experience in valuations or property economics highly desirable  
  • Proven success in a Business Development role, with experience in project site sales, deal structuring and developing strategic partnerships
  • Contract and procurement skills along with knowledge of state and local planning regulations
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with a high degree of numerical literacy
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
