Our Corporate team are currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join the team based in our Rhodes office. Reporting to the Finance Manager (Financial Accounting), the Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for delivering monthly, quarterly, and yearly results to the Australian company and our parent entity in Singapore. The role is tasked with adding value to the business by being a trusted business partner.

As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include:

  • Delivering daily financial accounting
  • Reviewing results and journals for accuracy, and preparing reconciliations
  • Assisting with overhead cost analysis, cashflow preparation, board reporting, and statutory financial statements
  • Maintaining the fixed asset module
  • Managing compliance activities for AFSL and government reporting
  • Proving accounting technical support to Frasers Property Australia
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures, and liaising with internal and external auditors
  • Supporting the general business on financial matters, and assisting in training divisions in accounting matters
  • Proactively drive process improvements including business systems, policies, and procedures in finance functions
  • Support the Finance Manager in developing the Finance teams’ capabilities through mentoring and coaching, and building interactions with internal and external stakeholders

As the ideal applicant you will possess:

  • A Degree in business, economics, finance, or accounting
  • CA qualified (preferred), or CPA qualified, is essential
  • Experience in financial reporting, or audit with a Big 4 Chartered Accountancy firm, is preferred
  • Strong skills in Excel; systems experience with SAP is advantageous
  • Well developed written and verbal communications skills
  • Adept at prioritising, managing time, and meeting deadlines
  • Drive to develop your skills to progress your career
