Our Development line of business are currently seeking a Facilities Manager to join the residential team at Tailor’s Walk in Botany. Reporting to the Manager Residential Facilities Services, the Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery of a high-quality service to our tenants and owners and supporting the building management team.

As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular building inspections to identify defects and maintenance items
  • Coordinating contractors for defect rectification, service and maintenance works, including tendering for contracts
  • Undertaking minor maintenance works, and stocking regular maintenance items
  • Coordinating contractors and service providers for regular servicing and certifications
  • Handling resident and owner enquiries, managing move-ins/outs, and be on-call 24/7 for emergencies
  • Maintaining a resident register and key register
  • Attending Executive Committee meetings and preparing Building Managers reports including financial records
  • Undertaking by-law breach reviews, posting strata notices and information
  • Liaising with the Executive Committee, Strata Managers, emergency services, and real estate agents

As the ideal applicant you will possess:

  • Experience in building management in the multi-unit residential sector is preferable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently, and a customer-focused attitude
  • Availability to respond to clients 24 hours/day and 7 days/week for emergencies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Aconex is desirable
