To bring this vision to life for our residents, we rely on dedicated leaders who ensure our assets are maintained to the highest standard. That's why we are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Building Manager/Caretaker to join our Queensland Development team in based in Hamilton.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Customer Care Manager, this role is a 6-month contract opportunity covering a period of parental leave. You will be responsible for proactively managing and resolving building issues, ensuring our assets are beautifully maintained while managing key relationships with tenants, owners, and bodies corporate. You will also work alongside our Property Management team to manage lettings and ensure an exceptional customer experience for all residents.
What you’ll do
Maintain community presentation, taking a proactive approach to ensure all estate and common areas are well presented, clean, and maintained at all times.
Manage stakeholder relationships by building strong connections with the Body Corporate, residents, tradespeople, and the Community Manager.
Oversee on-site operations including managing resident facility bookings, supervising move-ins and move-outs, and managing contractor performance.
Handle administrative duties by preparing management and Body Corporate reports, managing resident registers, and ensuring timely updates and correspondence.
Lead on-site staff, including the management and responsibility for Saturday Casual staff.
Uphold safety standards by adopting and applying all OH&S requirements, complying with safe working procedures, and participating in risk assessments.
What you’ll bring
Building Management experience, preferably from within a residential context.
A strong understanding of Body Corporate and Property Management Legislation.
Demonstrated team leadership skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with a customer-focused and self-motivated approach.
The ability to handle pressure, manage multiple tasks, and be available for after-hours emergencies.
Working knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office and MyBos (or similar).
