The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our centralised Shared Services team on a 12-month maternity leave contract. Reporting directly to the Shared Services Team Leader - Accounts Payable, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, accurate, and timely transactional support to both internal and external stakeholders.

How you will make an impact

  • Efficiently manage daily transactional activities, including processing high-volume Accounts Payable invoices, managing exceptions, and handling complex vendor and supplier issues across the service line.
  • Take ownership of weekly payment proposals across 80+ company codes and 80+ transactional bank accounts. You will accurately process intercompany loans, distributions, and navigate joint venture (JV) payment scheduling.
  • Efficiently administer employee expense reimbursements and credit card reconciliations in Concur, while managing corporate financial files including retentions and Bank Guarantees.
  • Act as a dependable point of contact, interpreting and resolving first-contact enquiries from internal and external customers with speed and clarity.
  • Collaborate closely with the Team Leader, utilising knowledge articles to ensure consistent processing while actively identifying opportunities to drive service and process improvements.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who aligns with our core values - someone who is collaborative, respectful, progressive, and real. You will also bring:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of dedicated Accounts Payable experience, with a proven track record of handling high-volume, complex transactions across large, multi-organisational structures.
  • System Expertise: High proficiency and hands-on experience using SAP and experience with Concur for credit card reconciliations is highly desirable.
  • Technical & Analytical Capabilities: A sharp analytical mindset with the ability to unpack complex supplier issues quickly, navigate transaction documents, and maintain an exceptional level of attention to detail while working under pressure.
  • Communication & Tech Literacy: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with absolute comfort utilizing modern corporate technology and telephony platforms to engage and resolve queries with stakeholders.
  • Team Mindset: An enthusiastic and helpful attitude with a strong focus on assisting others and contributing positively to a high-performing team environment.
  • Qualifications: Relevant administrative or financial coursework, or equivalent demonstrated professional experience.

Together, we create… As a property company, we’re always creating. But it’s not just precincts and projects; we believe the employee experience is a valuable asset which needs planning, great design, and a lot of ongoing care. Together, we create:

  • Meaningful Work: A global and diverse business means endless opportunities to work on purpose-led projects in exciting places.
  • Exciting Careers: Growth and learning opportunities, global pathways, and supportive managers who ensure everyone in our business can reach their potential.
  • A Place to Belong: A brand and culture known widely in the industry for being purpose-led, customer-focused, and caring.
  • The Right Balance: Work-life balance and an employee wellbeing focus which means you can be at your best.

We offer a high-performance, professional environment where achievement is rewarded. We are proud to be a Work180 Endorsed Employer for all women, an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality, and a White Ribbon Accredited workplace.
