The Opportunity

Reporting to the National Capex Manager, you will be a key member of the team, playing a hands-on role in managing the delivery of our annual Capex program. You will ensure we deploy capital as efficiently as possible, providing vital analysis and reporting that helps us make smarter investment decisions for our property assets. You will also provide critical support in our journey towards achieving ISO 55000 certification for Strategic Asset Management, all while contributing to a collaborative and purpose-led team.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and manage a professional reporting suite to monitor capex projects and contractor performance.
  • Analyse data from various systems to identify trends, enhance insights, and uncover opportunities for our portfolio.
  • Provide end-to-end project management and contract administration support, from scoping and tendering through to construction and delivery for a high-volume capex program.
  • Occasional interstate travel for the effective management of projects within the national portfolio
  • Oversee information management for all capex projects, including the accurate collection and filing of scopes, checklists, and pricing models.
  • Support our strategic goal of achieving ISO 55001 certification by helping align our processes and documentation.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in the property industry, with exposure to managing small to mid-sized projects in the industrial sector. Experience working for a Landlord in this sector is desirable, but not essential.
  • A highly organised approach with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A proactive, resourceful and solutions-focused approach and the ability to work independently as a reliable self-starter.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • An open and curious mindset with an eagerness to learn new skills.
