Shape the future of our landmark coastal master planned community at Shell Cove

At Frasers Property Australia, we believe that home is a feeling, and a place where community spirit matters. International in scale but local at heart, our reputation and legacy are built on 100 years of Australian placemaking. When you join us, you become part of an unwavering commitment to excellence, quality, and care. Together, we create stronger, smarter, and happier neighbourhoods that are connected, diverse, sustainable, and beautiful. From large-scale mixed-use developments to renewable energy initiatives, everything we do is designed to enhance the way people live life together.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a highly professional, proactive, and commercially astute Development Manager to join our NSW Residential team on an 18-month contract, based at our spectacular and award-winning Shell Cove coastal development.

Reporting directly to the Development Director, you will manage day-to-day project activities primarily focused on apartments, collaborate with joint-venture partners, and lead project workflows to deliver outstanding stages on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. In this highly visible role, you will play a vital part in our ambition to deliver projects that people are proud to call home.

How you will make an impact

  • Strategic & Commercial Leadership: Optimise project margins and protect FPA from commercial risk by scrutinising all development components from concept through to project close-out, including budgeting and forecasting within SAP and COMPASS.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain trusted, proactive relationships with local government and Joint Venture partners, local authorities, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project approvals and delivery.
  • Sustainable Innovation: Facilitate and manage the design process to deliver marketable, cost-effective, and stageable civil and built designs, while exploring and implementing environmentally sustainable design (ESD) initiatives.
  • Operational Excellence: Overlook superintendent functions or project-manage external contractors directly. Coordinate safety-in-design reviews and perform WHS responsibilities in accordance with the Shell Cove WHS Management Plan.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for someone who is collaborative, respectful, progressive, and real. You will also bring:

  • Experience: Extensive experience in property development or project management, with a proven track record delivering civil infrastructure or residential master planned estates.
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualified in Property Development, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Skills: Strong financial and commercial acumen, including cost planning, forecasting, contract administration, and project scheduling. High proficiency in MS Project and budget modelling software is required.
  • Mindset: A confident and self-assured approach, with a commitment to doing what's right, taking ownership, and leveraging modern digital tools (including AI) to drive productivity and strategic insights.

Together, we create…

As a property developer, we’re always creating. But it’s not just buildings and precincts. We believe the employee experience is a valuable asset which needs planning, great design, and a lot of ongoing care. Together, we create:

  • Meaningful Work: A global and diverse business means endless opportunities to work on purpose-led projects in exciting places.
  • Exciting Careers: Growth and learning opportunities, global pathways and supportive managers who ensure everyone in our business can reach their potential.
  • A Place to Belong: A brand and culture which is known widely in the industry for being purpose-led, customer focused and caring.
  • The Right Balance: Work-life balance and an employee wellbeing focus which means you can be at your best.

We offer a high-performance, professional environment where achievement is rewarded. We are proud to be a Work180 Endorsed Employer for all women, an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality, and a White Ribbon Accredited workplace.
