The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly commercial, results-driven, and collaborative Project Manager to take ownership of site-based project delivery for our major residential developments in NSW. Reporting to the Construction Manager, this highly visible role acts as the bridge between development strategy and on-site execution.
Operating directly from our project sites, you will manage external D&C contractors, civil partners, and consultants from the tender stage through to construction, final close-out, and warranty periods. Your primary objective is to protect FPA from commercial risk, optimise margins, and maintain an uncompromising commitment to safety, cost, time, and quality. On offer is a chance to play a key leadership role in a business that values your professional growth and celebrates active, on-site problem-solving.
How you will make an impact
Manage construction budgets, contingency reserves, and cash flows to protect project feasibilities. Confidently navigate D&C contract tracking, variation assessments, and progress claims in compliance with the Security of Payment Act.
Lead external builders, civil contractors, and consultants to deliver construction milestones on time. Act as the primary interface between sales, marketing, and the builder to seamlessly incorporate customer-initiated variations and navigate NSW Conveyancing Act disclosures.
Track and implement environmentally sustainable design initiatives alongside builders, monitoring Green Star submissions. Execute rigorous quality checklists to meet our targets of zero defects at settlement and Practical Completion.
Maintain absolute compliance with FPA's Workplace Health and Safety policies.
Drive authority approvals (including CC, DA, and utility sign-offs) to streamline project settlements.
What you’ll bring
We are looking for someone who is collaborative, respectful, progressive, and real. You will also bring:
Demonstrated experience in the construction and property development industry managing major building contracts, with deep exposure to cost planning, forecasting, and contract administration.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Property, or equivalent industry experience.
Excellent negotiation and dispute resolution skills. Sound working knowledge of the Building Code of Australia (BCA), Council requirements, and NSW planning frameworks. Proficiency in enterprise software (SAP preferred).
A proactive, commercially minded approach with an uncompromising eye for detail, strong safety leadership, and a passion for delivering premium-quality built environments.
