The Development Manager will join a high performing and collaborative team – this is a diverse role that is perfectly suited to someone who has an eye for great design, understands feasibility metrics, and can lead a broad range of stakeholders to achieve outstanding results.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Development Director, you will be responsible for working alongside the broader team on our landmark built-form projects. This includes the delivery and divestment of our Brunswick & Co. Build-to-Rent project and driving new luxury apartment projects in Newstead and Hamilton through development approval, sales launch, and construction.

What you’ll do

• Prepare and manage development cash flow forecasts, budgetary information, and monthly cost reports, ensuring project returns are maintained.
• Lead the design coordination process, managing consultants and chairing value management meetings to achieve marketable, cost-effective designs.
• Drive and secure planning and development approvals in accordance with feasibility timeframes, building strong relationships with local authorities.
• Prepare residential sales contracts and manage the property titling process with legal advisers to enable settlements.
• Work alongside the external build team to ensure construction is completed on time and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Champion a “customer first” culture, managing purchaser variations and ensuring all customer activities are handled in a professional and timely manner.
• Lead the preparation and implementation of sales and marketing strategies and manage the delivery of all marketing collateral.
• Provide mentoring for junior staff, improving their knowledge and helping them grow their skills.

What you’ll bring

• Tertiary qualifications in a related field such as Property Economics, Construction Management, or Architecture.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar property development role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive nature and strong initiative.
• A strategic and analytical approach to problem-solving.
• High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute positively to the team culture.
• Integrity, honesty, and the highest ethical standards.
