We are now looking for a Lawyer to join our in-house legal team, where you’ll play a key role in supporting our diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality projects with an emphasis on managing disputes, residential construction and overseeing insurance for Frasers Property Australia.

What You’ll Do: 

• Dispute Legal Support: Oversee the legal aspects of disputes including Supreme Court proceedings and regulatory matters. 
• Drive Construction Outcomes: Advise on AS4902s and AS4000s and providing strategic direction in relation to the Home Building Act, Residential Apartment Buildings Act and Design and Building Practitioner’s Act. 
• Manage Insurance: Working with various stakeholders, including brokers, Group Head Office and the local business on all insurance matters including renewal.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure the success of our projects. You’ll be at the heart of Frasers Property’s diverse business units, advising on a wide range of legal issues. 
• Navigate Complex Issues: Provide legal guidance on regulatory matters, dispute resolution, and compliance issues, with a focus on providing practical, business-minded solutions. 

What We’re Looking For: 

• 8+ PQE in litigation, residential construction or property development, preferably gained within top or mid tier and / or inhouse roles. 
• A strong commercial mindset and the ability to provide practical, risk-aware legal advice to drive business decisions. 
• A collaborative approach with the ability to engage with stakeholders across multiple departments. 
• Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills, with an eye for detail and a focus on quality and efficiency.
