Drive financial excellence in our Corporate Finance team

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team based in Rhodes, NSW on a 12-month fixed term contract.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Finance Manager (Financial Accounting), you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial information for the group. This is a dynamic position where you will not only manage day-to-day accounting tasks but also drive process improvements to align our reporting with best practice.

 

What you’ll do

  • Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting packs (FAPs) for our parent company in Singapore.
  • Month End: Assist with month-end processes including the preparation and processing of journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Statutory Accounts: Assist with the preparation of group and subsidiary financial statements and support the external audit process.
  • Compliance: Manage compliance activities relating to AFS Licences and ABS government surveys.
  • Improvement: Actively drive process improvement and efficiency initiatives within the finance function.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience: A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Financial Reporting or Audit, preferably within a Big 4 or other chartered accountancy firm.
  • Qualifications: Degree qualified in Business, Economics, or Finance/Accounting. You must have completed or be currently undertaking your CA or CPA qualification.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Attributes: You are a proactive team player with a "can do" attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Detail: A high level of attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
